Take Up Space is a ~ 17-minute documentary that lovingly traces the history of Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood as it transforms from a place of immigrants, families, and steelworkers, to an enclave for university student renters. Guided by the filmmaker's voice as she reckons with her own place in it all, the film centers on one former church building as a lens into Oakland's past, present, and future.
